 - This cruise program is designed to seamlessly coordinate with the Eugene Chamber Peru tour and is available exclusively as an optional extension.

- The Airfare is group economy class airfare. Upgrades are limited within the group flight schedule.

Refunds & Cancellation Fees: 

All tour deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. Cancellations must be submitted in writing by certified mail or email to Meridian Guided Travel. After that point, cancellation fees apply according to the fee schedule. If you do not purchase travel protection, the below fees will apply in full. If you do purchase travel protection but cancel for a reason that is not covered by your provider, the same fees will apply.

ARRIVAL IN QUITO

Welcome to Quito! Upon arrival at the airport, after clearing customs and migration, meet your guide at the arrival’s hall. Your guide escorts you to your awaiting private vehicle and transfers you to your hotel where you receive check-in procedures assistance.

QUITO

 Spend the day exploring Quito, a UNESCO World Heritage city nestled in the Andes. Wander through its beautifully preserved colonial center, visiting ornate churches like La Compañía and lively local markets. Take in sweeping views from El Panecillo before heading just north of the city to the “Middle of the World” monument, where you can stand on the equator and explore the exhibits. It’s a full day of culture, history, and unique geography.

QUITO - GALAPAGOS

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, afterwards meet your private guide at the hotel reception area for your transfer to the airport to board your domestic flight. Upon arrival at San Cristobal Island Airport, you will be met and transferred to YACHT ISABELA II, where you will check into your cabin then receive an introductory briefing and safety drill. In the afternoon, head ashore (dry landing) for a 45-minute bus ride to the highlands of Santa Cruz, located to the northwest of Puerto Ayora, where we will find one of the best places in the islands to observe giant tortoises in their natural habitat. Enjoy dinner onboard tonight.

BARTOLOME ISLAND & SANTIAGO ISLAND

Bartolome Island

We start the day with a climb up a wooden staircase: the panoramic view from the top is well worth the effort! Following the walk, we take a panga ride around colossal Pinnacle Rock in search of Galapagos penguins and other wildlife.

Sullivan Bay (Santiago Island)

After lunch, we board the pangas and land at Sullivan Bay. A trail runs along a lava field, the perfect place to see and understand the volcanic origin of the Galapagos.

SANTA CRUZ ISLAND & SANTIAGO ISLAND

Dragon Hill (Santa Cruz Island)

After disembarking, our walk passes a brackish-water lagoon frequented by shorebirds, ducks, and American flamingos. After our walk, we can snorkel from the shore. Here, we may spot rays, green turtles, and sharks.

Buccaneer Cove (Santiago Island)

After lunch, we explore the coastline along the impressive cliffs of Buccaneer Cove. The cove is home to many marine birds, sea lions, and intertidal organisms. We also enjoy fantastic natural formations such as Elephant Rock and The Bishop.

ISABELA ISLAND & FERNANDINA ISLAND 

Punta Vicente Roca (Isabela Island)

We explore the coast by dinghy, seeking out wildlife like Galapagos fur seals, Nazca boobies, flightless cormorants, penguins, and marine iguanas. Back on board, we navigate along the Bolivar Channel.

Punta Espinoza (Fernandina Island)

Our visitor site of Punta Espinoza offers a fantastic combination of barren landscapes and abundant wildlife. You can spot hawks, penguins, marine iguanas, and the flightless cormorant.

GALAPAGOS- QUITO

Our journey ends at Baltra Island, where we transfer to the airport to take the flight back to the mainland. Disembark YACHT ISABELA II and say farewell to the Galapagos. Transfer to the airport for your flight back to Quito. Upon arrival in Quito, meet your tour representative and check-in to your hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Enjoy dinner in Quito tonight.
