A Mediterranean Journey Through Civilizations, Coastlines & Culture

April 5-14, 2027

At the heart of the Mediterranean, Sicily and Malta reveal a remarkable story shaped by centuries of trade, conquest, and cultural exchange. Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Normans, and the Knights of St. John all left their imprint across these islands, creating landscapes where ancient temples rise from sunlit hillsides, medieval streets lead to seaside piazzas, and fortified cities overlook deep natural harbors.

This Meridian Guided Travel journey explores these historic crossroads through some of the region’s most captivating settings. From the elegant hill town of Taormina with views toward Mount Etna to the relaxed coastal charm of Cefalù, the itinerary traces Sicily’s rich cultural layers before continuing to Malta’s remarkable capital of Valletta. Along the way, travelers encounter archaeological wonders, vibrant cities, dramatic landscapes, and the distinctive flavors that define southern Italy and the Maltese islands.

Thoughtfully paced and designed to allow time to experience each destination, the journey blends meaningful cultural exploration with moments to appreciate the beauty and atmosphere of the Mediterranean.
