Return to Machu Picchu for a second visit, included in your program, allowing time to see the site from new angles and explore additional areas at a more relaxed pace. After your visit, descend to Aguas Calientes and board the Vistadome train back to the Sacred Valley. Continue by motorcoach to Cusco, where you’ll arrive in the early evening.

This is a moderate activity tour. Travelers should be comfortable walking on uneven surfaces, navigating steps and cobblestone streets, and spending time at higher altitudes. While much of the touring is leisurely and guided, some sites require moderate walking to fully enjoy the experience.
Yes! October and early November are excellent times to travel in Peru. The weather is generally mild and dry in the Andes, with fewer crowds than the peak travel months. It’s the tail end of the dry season, offering great visibility and comfortable daytime temperatures.
The itinerary is carefully designed to help you acclimate gradually. We begin at lower elevations in Lima and the Sacred Valley before visiting higher-altitude locations like Cusco and Lake Titicaca. Your guide will share tips for adjusting, such as staying hydrated, eating light, and pacing activities.
You’ll stay in well-located, comfortable hotels (3.5 to 4 stars), chosen for their amenities, charm, and access to key attractions. Multi-night stays in most locations minimize packing and unpacking.

Yes. While there are walking components, the tour is flexible and well-paced. Optional walks can be skipped, and transportation is provided wherever possible. If you enjoy cultural travel with light to moderate physical activity, this tour is a great fit.
This program is designed for a group of approximately 15–28 travelers, offering a comfortable, sociable, and personalized group experience.
Travel protection is highly recommended. It can provide coverage for medical issues, cancellations, trip delays, and baggage. If you don’t already have a plan, we can provide options.
Refunds & Cancellation Fees:
Payments are fully refundable until 150 days before departure. Cancellations must be submitted in writing by certified mail or email to Meridian Guided Travel. After that point, cancellation fees apply according to the fee schedule. If you do not purchase travel protection, the below fees will apply in full. If you do purchase travel protection but cancel for a reason that is not covered by your provider, the same fees will apply.
MGT Cancellation Fee Schedule: Cancellations made up to 150 days before departure receive a full refund. If you cancel 149–120 days before departure, the deposit amount is retained. For cancellations 119–90 days prior, 70% of the total trip price is refunded. For cancellations 89–45 days prior, 50% of the total trip price is refunded. Cancellations made less than 45 days before departure are non-refundable.
